With over 25 years of martial arts training and a black belt in Taekwondo, Charlie brings deep technical knowledge and disciplined movement to every session. With a background in Olympic-sport Taekwondo competition, he understands the precision and athletic demands required for high-level competitive performance.

Charlie also holds a PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology and a BA in Psychology, with an extensive background in mental health treatment and human performance. This unique blend of martial arts knowledge and psychological expertise allows him to develop not only physical skill in his students, but also mental clarity, confidence, and resilience.

He understands how belief systems, pressure, and self-talk influence performance, and integrates specific principles into his training to help students stay calm under stress, move with confidence, and develop a mindset of growth, rather than self-criticism.
